JAY SON & BLANCPAD

Jay Son (Choppin' Therapy) and Blancpad (ΒΑ.Μ.) both raised in Mytilene, got involved in hip hop around 1999/2000 but didn't meet until 2009 when they released their first collaborative LP named JvΔ (Jay Son Vs Delta) - Voreioanatoliko Mploko. Both evolve around abstract hip hop, influenced by the 90's era.

Jay Son's sound keeps the essence of boom bap adding lots of local instruments in his sampling preferences, influeced from beatmakers such as Preemo, Babu, ANT, Kid Koala, Kno and many others. He makes tracks sample-based only, with 2 turntables and 16 pads, choppin' all kinds of 60's-70's music such as funk, psychedelic rock, classic music and greek songs from that era too. In 2012 Jay Son formed Choppin' Therapy which is a beatmaking project with Tha-Nice, Noezist and Onken and also started a strictly turntablised project called Kick Out The Jams.

Blancpad in 2005 formed Voreioanatoliko Mploko with Kone (ΒΑ.Μ). They started off releasing 2 double cd mixtapes and practicing their freestyle skills casually all around whenever mics were open.

Blancpad and Jay Son recently released the first track and promo (To Emvolio) of Blancpad's personal EP called I Pagida, setting with Jay Son on the pads the next part of JvΔ.
