XPRESHONISTS

Xpreshonists were formed in Mitilini in 2005 by Mike (vocals), Themes (vocals + beats) and Kebzer (DJ + beatsn + production). After digitally circulating 2 undergound mixtapes in 2005 and 2007, they digitally released in 2010 their first full album "Ston Pyrina" through the legendary label of Ihokratoria, being the label's first ever endorsed group outside Athens. The album received critical acclaim for its old school, heavy boom bap rap sound (also first ever Greek rap album to be released in instrumental version) and since then the group is considered as one of Greece's finest underground examples of the local boom bap scene. Their approach to rap music resides within the limits of boom bap rap as defined by Greek heavyweights Terror X Crew, ZN and Alfa Gama. They insist on producing music the old school way, utilizing legendary equipment such as MPC 60, SP1200 and ASR-10.

Their lyrical approach is sharp, from battle rap to concious, always with a fresh touch.
